Are Your Client Attraction Beliefs Repelling Your Dream Clients?

Hi there! I'm Amanda Jane Daley, Founder of the UPswing Mastermind where I teach new and upcoming health coaches and wellness entrepreneurs how to go from struggling to find clients to consistent $5k months, and more, without burnout or overwhelm.

Today I’m going to talk about checking your client attraction beliefs and finding out if you are in the mindset of attracting the best clients for you or if it's your mindset and beliefs that may actually be repelling any client attraction attempts that you make.

I'm going to start out with some questions to check in on your current client attraction beliefs.

When I ask these questions, I encourage you to pay close attention to how you physically respond, instead of intellectually respond. And here's the difference: an intellectual response is going up into your head and thinking through the answer and what you think is the best answer based on what you know would probably be the ideal or even correct answer. And it probably is.

But it doesn't matter if your body doesn't believe it, your body will actually tell you before your mind does.

And so when you're attempting anything new in business, especially if it's out of your comfort zone such such as sales and marketing or client attraction, the first thing to pay attention to is your physical response.

We can't think our way out of every problem if we are subconsciously resisting it. Your body will help tell you what your subconscious has been resisting.

So, let's start with the first question:

  1. What would you say if I told you that it is possible to bring in new health coaching clients, every single week?

  2. What would you say if I told you it is possible to attract new potential leads, every single day

  3. What would you say if I told you it was possible to do both of those without being on social media all the time and without burning or yourself out or overwhelming yourself?

What did you notice your response was?

  • Did you feel a tightness in your chest?

  • Did you feel a knot in your stomach?

  • Did you feel a need to run or to debate or to argue?

  • Did you feel at peace with it?

  • Did you feel completely aligned with those statements?

If you felt any resistance physically at all, then the rest of this post is definitely for you.

I want to talk about why it is so important to believe that there are more than enough clients out there for you and that you do have what it takes to consistently book new clients every month.

In fact, I teach very specific frameworks just for health coaches to bring in new leads and to bring in new clients consistently.

I see these results happening for our members in the UPswing mastermind. I've talked to new members who will say, “I can't even imagine having a discovery call once a week, let alone, having an option to do one every day of the week if I wanted.”

When I tell them that you need to be getting discovery calls and you need to be asking for those discovery calls in order to book new clients, there's a big initial resistance there.

But as we start to work with their client attraction beliefs, and they start to implement the right frameworks for them, it's incredible to watch the synchronicity of aligning their beliefs with the action step. Because what starts to happen is I see amazing celebration posts in our private Facebook group, where they are frequently talking about their new discovery calls, and their new clients.

It is possible for every single one of you.

So let's address why you might be feeling resistant to it.

The most common reason: You've probably been trying to DIY your entire approach to building business.

You're used to getting by. You're pretty smart and you're resourceful and you like to learn. Most people who pursue health coaching are driven to learn and teach, you made a choice to learn an incredible skill which is health coaching so you could help others.

And so it's very common to take that skill set for learning and try to DIY your business.

Now here's the problem with that.

There are so many ways to build different types of businesses and when you try to learn how, you're going to find all kinds of answers.

You're going to be told to build a big audience on social media, you're going to be told to create courses to create group programs, you're going to be told that one social media platform is better than another. You're going to be told that there's a certain way to do sales calls and pitches and then someone will tell you a different way.

The point is: Trying to navigate all of that will have your energy feeling scattered to the point where you will feel like you've been doing a lot of things, you've been working hard, and you're constantly busy, but you're not seeing the results in new clients. You're not seeing the results in new discovery calls.

And that's a big issue because if your mind is associating I'm working hard, I'm busy being productive with, “but I'm not getting any results,” of course, you're going to create the belief that “I don't know how to attract consistent clients.”

And you might even go further and believe there are not enough clients in the world, or nobody wants health coaching.

None of those things are true, you do have what it takes. There are more than enough people out there who are going to be excited to work with you and people do want health coaching.

So how do you shift your client attraction beliefs?

You learn the right strategies for you.

I say this as someone who has built two successful coaching businesses: I do not advise a DIY approach to building your coaching practice.

And I don't advise taking just any business advice or business coaching, it is key to learn from people who have been there, and know what it takes for a health coaching model, not just any kind of online business model. And that is why I've created the programs that I create and I work specifically with health and wellness entrepreneurs because my frameworks are designed just for you.

Here is a key belief to create:

“I can do this when I have the right strategies.”

And when you have the right strategies, you don't have to work as hard. You don't have to hustle as hard, and you don't have to overwhelm yourself because consistency and focus are the really important pillars of a successful business, not doing a million different things.

The business side of things should feel straightforward, uncomplicated and drama free so that you can then do the fun part that is coaching and working with others.

How does that sound to you so far?

Can you see yourself beginning to shift the belief that it is possible to work with as many clients as you desire and it is possible for you to attract clients every day?

I hope so! And if you want even more support around this, I’d love to invite you into the UPswing Mastermind where we go into this (and more!) in a lot more detail so that you can create client attraction beliefs that help you to get clients consistently.
